THE STRENGTH OF KINDNESS

Dear friends, use your most holy faith to grow. Pray with the Holy Spirit’s help. Remain in God’s love as you look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to give you eternal life. Show mercy to those who have doubts. Save others by snatching them from the fire of hell. Show mercy to others, even though you are afraid that you might be stained by their sinful lives.

Christians labor for souls in a blasphemous world of bitterness and betrayal. The greatest danger for us isn't falling into doubt, but rather falling out of the love of God. God's love in us is prominent through the strength of kindness. Don't allow the strategy of the devil to move you from the habit of kindness. Kindness is where your love is strong. The Apostle Paul is a wonderful example of a Christian who is passionate about the Truth, navigating through the thorn-choked paths of society, unsnagged by offense. By staying strong in kindness, Paul's love for the Lord and by extension, for others, remained powerfully effective. Paul is known today for his brilliant and passionate presentation of the Truth of the Gospel. Yet the real back-story to Paul's survival and success in a world of opposition, is that he kept himself strong in the kindness of Christ. And that strength preserved the integrity of Truth with which he mentored men.

Timothy, my dear son, be STRONG through the GRACE that God gives you in Christ Jesus. You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. —2Tim. 2:1-2
